first two championships!!!

Hello everbody!!!

First I want to apologize for the late update. Well the reason why I updated my blog a little bit later then I said is because I had 2 championships in a row so I haven't had much time to update the blog. the last 3 weeks I've been in Buenos Aires the capitale of Argentina. I've raced two big international championships: the semana de Buenos aires and the Argentinian nationals. which both went really well for me. After the first weekend of the semana de Buenos Aires I was coming 16th out of 65 sailors, unfortunatley the second weekend i couldn't race due to sickness. So with half of the races sailed I finished 36th. And in the argentinian nationals I finished 7th overal and 3th of the juniors out of 50 sailors:)!! Now I'm back in Mar del Plata the city where I live and my training has been taken to next level, till now I've have been sailing in the laser radial but the olympic class for men is the laser standard this is the same boat with a bigger sail, due to my weight I couldn't sail in this class up to now. Because of the hard training in the gym I gainend 7 kilo's!!!! So this means that i'm slowly going to start training in the laser standard and in december I'm going to sail an international laser standard champion ship in Uruguay. Well that was it for now later this week I'm going to post some pictures of the semana de Beunos aires and the argentinian nationals and my next update will be at the end of november just before I'm leaving to Uruguay.

Train, Train and Study

I've been here for 1 month now. unfortunatley it's still cold and i couldn't sail much. But that doesn't mean i haven't been doing much. No I've been training in the gym everyday and gainend 3.5 kilos witch is much more then my coaches expected so i'm heading in the right direction! And yes even when your not at school, doing an olympic campaign you have to study, Guess what sailing rules, situations, terms and tacticks. Well that was it for now my next update will be after my first big championship in the beginning of october.

I ve arrived on Tuesday 18th of August after a flight of 10 hours. After that, I had to travel 5 hours by car to Mar del Plata, the place where I am going to train the upcoming year and going to be living with the family of my coach. The next day I went to check out the club and discover Mar del Plata. It’s a very nice club with a lot of sailing boots, a swimming pool and a great gym to train. For now I’m training more in the gym and less on the water, because its winter in Argentina now and so it’s very cold. The upcoming weeks I’m going to be training for a championship that is going to be held in Buenos Aires.
